BI MODAL: UP TO 450 KM OF AUTONOMY THANKS TO THE GREEN VEHICLES PARALLEL HYBRID

The Bi Modal Kit is a parallel hybrid system that allows travel either in thermal (Diesel, Petrol, LPG or CNG) or electric, never simultaneously.
The Bi Modal technology developed by Green Vehicles allows to use the vehicle’s endothermic engine alongside an electric traction system. From the driving position it is therefore possible to insert or exclude the traditional engine by selecting the ideal traction for the type of route to be faced.

The original endothermic engine is then maintained, flanked by an electric motor and a small battery pack so as to allow the transition from traditional driving to electric driving through the car controls.
Using the electric motor can significantly reduce fuel costs (up to 30%) and vehicle management (up to 35%).
Furthermore, the reduced use of the endothermic engine leads to a reduction in maintenance and a longer life cycle.

Compared to a completely electric motor, the Bi Modal system has undoubted advantages from the point of view of the autonomy of the journey, being able to always resort to the diesel tank in case of lack of charge.

The ecological benefits are in any case considerable, given that it allows for the reduction of particulate emissions, carbon dioxide and nitrogen monoxide by 30%.
With the electric mode, the circulation of vehicles having a Bi Modal system is also permitted, even in areas with limited traffic, which guarantees greater freedom of movement even in historic centres and in the LTZs of urban centres.
